Our Mission

The Giving Shelf is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to books for underserved communities in the Metro Detroit area. We believe that everyone deserves the joy, knowledge, and opportunity that books provide.

What We Do

Collect and distribute books to local shelters, schools, and community centers.
Host free book fairs and literacy events.
Partner with local libraries and bookstores to expand our reach.
Provide mobile book shelves to areas with limited access to reading materials.
